How to prepare Aloo Matar / Potato Peas


Ingredients

Potato - 1/2 cup
Peas - 1/4 cup
Onion - 1/2
Tomato - 1/2
Turmeric - pinch
Green Chillies - 3
Chilli Powder - 1/4 tsp
Garam Masala - 1/4 tsp
Oil - 2 tbsp
Mustard Seeds - 1/4 tsp
Hing - pinch
Curry leaves - 4
Ginger Garlic paste - 1/2 tsp
Salt - to taste
Coriander leaves - 2 tbsp

Preparation

1. Heat oil in a vessel, add mustard seeds, hing, curry leaves, ginger-garlic paste, onion, green chillies and cook until raw smell is gone.
2. Now add tomatoes and cook untill they are smashed well.
3. Now add turmeric, chilli powder, salt and mix well.
4. Now add chopped potatoes and peas and cook untill they are done. Add water if necessary.
5. Add Garam Masala and mix well. and cook for 3-4 minutes.
6. Garnish with coriander leaves.

Serve hot with any indian bread.

How to prepare Okra / Bhindi Curry / Bendekai Huli



Ingredients

Bhindi/Okra - 1 lb
Onion - 1/2
Tamarind - lemon size
Turmeric - 1/4 tsp
Oil - 2 tbsp
Mustard seeds - 1/4 tsp
Hing - Pinch
Curry Leaves - 3-4
Green Chillies - 2
Sambar Powder - 2 tbsp
Grated Coconut - 3-4 tbsp
Salt - as per taste

Preparation

1. Wash and cut okra into 1/2 inch pieces
2. Fry okra for around 4-5 minutes
3. Grind Sambar Powder and Grated Coconut and make a paste.
4. In a vessel heat oil, add mustard, hing, curry leaves, onion, green chillies and fry untill onions are translucent.
5. Add Tamarind juice, Turmeric, Salt and cook for another another 2-3 min
6. Now add Okra, Grinded paste and let it boil for 7-8 minutes.

Serve hot with Rice :-D

How to prepare Grape Juice

Ingredients

Grapes - 1 cup
Water - 1 cup
Sugar - 3-4 tbsp
Salt - 1/4 tsp
Ice cubes - 4-5

Preparation

Add all the ingredients and grind well, When its done stain it using a stainer.

Enjoy your cup of grape Juice.

How to prepare Green Peas Pulav


Ingredients

Green peas - 1 cup ( if you are using dried peas then soak for 5-6 hours and pressure cook)
Rice - 1 and 1/2 cup
Onion - 1 medium
Tomato - 1 and 1/2 big
Ginger-Garlic chopped - 1 tsp each
Bay leaves - 3
Cardamom - 3
Cloves - 4
Cinnamon - 1 inch
Fennel seeds - 1/2 tsp
Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp
Coriander powder - 1/2 tsp
Chilli Powder - 1/2 tsp
Oil - 6 tsp
Salt
Ghee - 2 tsp
Coriander leaves - 2 tsp chopped finely

Preparation

1. Wash and soak rice for 30 min in water and drain it.
2. Heat oil in a vessel, add chopped onion, ginger, garlic and tomatoes and fry well.
3. Now make a paste of above fried ingredients (onion, ginger, garlic, tomatoes) with cumin seeds, coriander powder and chilli powder

4. Heat oil in a vessel and add bay leaves, cardamom, cloves, cinnamon, feenel seeds and fry for few seconds
5. Add the soaked and drained rice and fry it for 2 minutes
6. Now add the paste, green peas and mix well and cook for another 2-3 mintues.
7. Add water, ghee and salt and cook untill rice is done (Make sure to add less water as rice would have absorbed water when it was soaked)
8. Garnish with coriander leaves.

Serve hot with raita or chutney. It tastes good even as it is.

How to prepare Watermelon Juice



Ingredients

Watermelon cubes - 1 cup
Sugar - 2 tbsp (you can increase or decrease as per your taste)
Salt - 1/4 tsp
Ice cubes - 4-5
Pepper - 1/4 tsp (Optional)
Cold water - 250 ml (you can increase or decrease as per the thickness you wish)

Preparation

In a juicer, add all the ingredients and blend well for 4-5 min and enjoy your cup of watermelon juice.
