How to prepare Aloo Matar / Potato Peas


Ingredients

Potato - 1/2 cup
Peas - 1/4 cup
Onion - 1/2
Tomato - 1/2
Turmeric - pinch
Green Chillies - 3
Chilli Powder - 1/4 tsp
Garam Masala - 1/4 tsp
Oil - 2 tbsp
Mustard Seeds - 1/4 tsp
Hing - pinch
Curry leaves - 4
Ginger Garlic paste - 1/2 tsp
Salt - to taste
Coriander leaves - 2 tbsp

Preparation

1. Heat oil in a vessel, add mustard seeds, hing, curry leaves, ginger-garlic paste, onion, green chillies and cook until raw smell is gone.
2. Now add tomatoes and cook untill they are smashed well.
3. Now add turmeric, chilli powder, salt and mix well.
4. Now add chopped potatoes and peas and cook untill they are done. Add water if necessary.
5. Add Garam Masala and mix well. and cook for 3-4 minutes.
6. Garnish with coriander leaves.

Serve hot with any indian bread.

How to prepare Okra / Bhindi Curry / Bendekai Huli



Ingredients

Bhindi/Okra - 1 lb
Onion - 1/2
Tamarind - lemon size
Turmeric - 1/4 tsp
Oil - 2 tbsp
Mustard seeds - 1/4 tsp
Hing - Pinch
Curry Leaves - 3-4
Green Chillies - 2
Sambar Powder - 2 tbsp
Grated Coconut - 3-4 tbsp
Salt - as per taste

Preparation

1. Wash and cut okra into 1/2 inch pieces
2. Fry okra for around 4-5 minutes
3. Grind Sambar Powder and Grated Coconut and make a paste.
4. In a vessel heat oil, add mustard, hing, curry leaves, onion, green chillies and fry untill onions are translucent.
5. Add Tamarind juice, Turmeric, Salt and cook for another another 2-3 min
6. Now add Okra, Grinded paste and let it boil for 7-8 minutes.

Serve hot with Rice :-D

How to prepare Grape Juice

Ingredients

Grapes - 1 cup
Water - 1 cup
Sugar - 3-4 tbsp
Salt - 1/4 tsp
Ice cubes - 4-5

Preparation

Add all the ingredients and grind well, When its done stain it using a stainer.

Enjoy your cup of grape Juice.

How to prepare Green Peas Pulav


Ingredients

Green peas - 1 cup ( if you are using dried peas then soak for 5-6 hours and pressure cook)
Rice - 1 and 1/2 cup
Onion - 1 medium
Tomato - 1 and 1/2 big
Ginger-Garlic chopped - 1 tsp each
Bay leaves - 3
Cardamom - 3
Cloves - 4
Cinnamon - 1 inch
Fennel seeds - 1/2 tsp
Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp
Coriander powder - 1/2 tsp
Chilli Powder - 1/2 tsp
Oil - 6 tsp
Salt
Ghee - 2 tsp
Coriander leaves - 2 tsp chopped finely

Preparation

1. Wash and soak rice for 30 min in water and drain it.
2. Heat oil in a vessel, add chopped onion, ginger, garlic and tomatoes and fry well.
3. Now make a paste of above fried ingredients (onion, ginger, garlic, tomatoes) with cumin seeds, coriander powder and chilli powder

4. Heat oil in a vessel and add bay leaves, cardamom, cloves, cinnamon, feenel seeds and fry for few seconds
5. Add the soaked and drained rice and fry it for 2 minutes
6. Now add the paste, green peas and mix well and cook for another 2-3 mintues.
7. Add water, ghee and salt and cook untill rice is done (Make sure to add less water as rice would have absorbed water when it was soaked)
8. Garnish with coriander leaves.

Serve hot with raita or chutney. It tastes good even as it is.

How to prepare Watermelon Juice



Ingredients

Watermelon cubes - 1 cup
Sugar - 2 tbsp (you can increase or decrease as per your taste)
Salt - 1/4 tsp
Ice cubes - 4-5
Pepper - 1/4 tsp (Optional)
Cold water - 250 ml (you can increase or decrease as per the thickness you wish)

Preparation

In a juicer, add all the ingredients and blend well for 4-5 min and enjoy your cup of watermelon juice.

How to prepare Instant Rice and Wheat Flour Dosa


Ingredients

Rice Four - 3/4 cup
Wheat Flour - 1/4 cup
Salt - 1 tsp
Baking soda - 1/4 tsp
Water

Preparation

1. In a bowl take rice four, wheat flour, salt, baking soda and mix well the dry ingredients
2. Add water little by little and mix well so that it doesnot form any lumps
3. Make it to consistency of dosa batter
4. Heat tawa with 2-3 drops of oil spreaded on it and pour some batter and spread it in circular motion, sprinkle some oil on it. When he dosa turns golden brown flip and cook the other side as well.

Serve hot with any chutney or sabzi of your choice. :-D

You can use the left over batter for later use by refrigerating.

How to prepare Aloo-Gobi


Ingredients

Aloo - 3
Gobi - 1 cup
Carrot - 1 (Optional)
Green Peas - 1/4 cup (Optional)
Onion - 1
Garlic - 4
Tomato - 1/2
Turmeric - 1/4 tsp
Green Chillies - 3
Chilli Powder - 3/4 tsp
Coriander powder - 1/2 tsp
Garam masala - 1/4 tsp
Grated coconut - 2 tsp
Salt - to taste
Oil - 2 tbsp
Mustard seeds - 1/4 tsp
Curry leaves - 4
Hing - a pinch
Water

Preparation

1. Cook vegetables with water and salt (make sure not to put too much water)
2. In a vessel heat oil, add mustard seeds, hing, curry leaves
3. Then add garlic, green chillies, onion, salt and cook till onion turn translucent (remember we have already put salt while cooking vegetables)
4. Then add turmeric, tomatoes and cook untill tomatoes are smashed.
5. Now add cooked vegetables with its water, coriander powder, chilli powder, garam masala, grated coconut.
6. Mix well and cook for another 5 min
7. Garnish with coriander leaves

Serve hot with any indian bread :-D


How to prepare Mushroom Pulav



Ingredients

Rice - 1 1/2 cup
Mushroom - 1 1/2 cup sliced thinly ( you can add more if you like more mushrooms)
Onion - 1
Cumin seeds - 1/4 tsp
Turmeric - 1/4 tsp
Green Chillies - 3
Chilli powder - 1 tsp
Curry Leaves - 1 strand
Hing - Pinch
Coriander leaves - for garnishing
Salt - to taste
Oil - 2 tbsp
Grated coconut - 1 tbsp (Optional)

Preparation

1. Heat oil in a  vessel, add cumin seeds, hing and curry leaves
2. Add finely chopped onions and green chillies and fry till onion are translucent
3. Now add sliced mushrooms, turmeric and fry for 2-3 mins
4. Add chilli powder, rice and cook for another 2 minutes without adding water
5. Now add 3 cups of water, salt, grated coconut (Optional) and cook in medium flame.
6. Garnish with coriander leaves
Enjoy your mushroom Pulav when its hot :-D

Tips:
1. Soak rice in water for 30 minutes before using it.
2. Do not mix rice frequently, it will break the grains.
3. Once almost all water is gone cook rice on low flame, by doing this rice grains will not stick to each other.

How to prepare Egg Sandwich


Ingredients

Bread slices - 4
Boiled Egg - 2/3
Salt - 1/4 tsp
Pepper - 1/4 tsp
Mayonaise - 1 tsp
Mustard Sauce - 1/2 tsp (Optional)
Butter - to apply on bread slices (Optional)

Procedure

1. Apply little butter on bread slices and roast them on tawa. (You can even use your bread toaster if you wish)
2. Prepare filling by smashing boiled egg into small pieces with help of fork in a bowl, to that add mayonaise, salt, pepper and Mustard sauce (Optional) and mix well.
3. Apply the filling on roasted bread slice and cover it with other.
4. Cut it into triangle or any other shape of your desire.

Your Egg Sandwich is ready, now Enjoy it as-it-is or with some ketchup :-D

How to prepare Mushrom Masala



Ingredients

Mushroom - 1 cup sliced
Onion - 1
Bay Leaves - 2
Olive oil - 1 tbsp
Ginger garlic paste - 1 tsp
Cinnamon - 1 inch stick
Cloves - 2
Garam Masala  - 1/4 tsp
Chilli powder - 3/4 tsp
Coriander powder - 1 tsp
Butter - 1-2  inch cube
lemon juice - 1 tbsp
coriander leaves - 1 tbsp
Salt - to taste
Turmeric - 1/4 tsp

Preparation

1. Heat oil in a vessel and add bay leaves, cinnamon stick, cloves
2. Add ginger-garlic paste and onion and suate untill raw smell is gone
3. Add turmeric, coriander powder, chilli powder, garam masala and some water and cook well for 2-3 min
4. Add butter and let it melt
5. Now add mushrooms and cook well for another 6-7 minutes and add lemon juice. stir in-between
6. Garnish with coriander leaves.

Serve hot with chapati :-D

How to prepare Pepper Corn Salad


Ingredients

Steamed sweet corn - 1 cup
Pepper - 1 tsp
Salt - 1/2 tsp
Lemon Juice - 1 tsp
Chilli Powder - a pinch (Optional)

Preparation

1. Cook the sweet corn by steaming them
2. Mix well all the ingredients (steamed corn, pepper, Salt, lemon juice, chilli powder) in a bowl.

How to prepare pepper chicken dry



Ingredients

Chicken - 1/2 kg
Onion - 1
Green Chillies - 3
Lemon - 2-3 tsp
Salt - 1 tbsp
Chilli Powder - 1/2 tsp
Coriander powder - 1 tsp
Garam Masala Powder - 1/2 tsp
Grated coconut - 2-3 tsp
Ginger - 1 inch
Garlic - 4
Pepper powder - 1 tbsp
Coriander leaves - 1tsp
Curry leaves - 2-3 strands
Cashews  - 2 tbsp


Preparation

1. Make a paste of coconut, ginger, garlic, green chillies.

1. Cut chicken pieces into 1 inch cubes
2. Marinate Chicken pieces with Salt, Lemon Juice, Chilli Powder, Coriander Powder, Garam Masala powder for 30 min or more

1. Heat oil in a vessel and add coconut paste and fry well untill all moisture is gone
2. Add onion and fry well until golden brown
3. Add the marinate and cook well in water oozed out by chicken in medium-low flame
4. Once the chicken is cooked turm off heat add pepper powder and coriander leaves and mix well


You can garnish it with fried curry leaves and cashews :-D

How to prepare Channa Masala




Ingredients

Channa - 1 cup soaked for 4-5 hours
Onion - 1 medium size
Tomato - 1
Ginger garlic paste - 1/2 tsp
Green chillies - 4
Coriander - 1 tsp chopped
Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp
Garam Masala powder - 1 tsp
Olive oil - 2 tsp
Coriander powder - 1 tsp
Chilli powder - 1/2 tsp
Turmeric - 1/4 tsp
Chat Masala - 1/4 tsp
Salt - to taste
Bay leaves - 2

Preparation

1. Cook Channa in a cooker for 3-4 whistles with water and Salt
2. In a vessel heat oil, add Bay leaves and cumin seeds
3. Add chopped onions, green chillies and salt  around 1/4 tsp and cook for 2 min
4. Add turmeric and ginger-garlic paste
5. Once the raw smell of Ginger-garlic paste is gone add chopped tomatoes and cook untill they are smashed well (around 5-6 min)
6. Add boiled channa water and add garam masala powder, coriander powder, chat masala and chilli powder and mix well.
7. Now add the cooked channa and let them cook for 5 more min
8. Garnish with coriander leaves

Enjoy with any indian bread :-D

How to prepare Channa (Kadale kaalu) Huli Sambar


 

Ingredients

Channa - 1 cup Soak for minimum 3 hours
Potato - 3 small
Toor dal - 1/2 cup
Onion - 1 small
Tomato - 1 big
Red Chillies - 2
Sambar Powder - 2 1/2 tsp
Jaggery powder - 1/2 tsp
Salt - as per taste
Water - 3 cups
Turmeric - 1/4 tsp
grated coconut - 1 tsp
olive oil - 1 tsp
hing - pinch
mustard seeds - 1/4 tsp
curry leaves - 4-5 leaves

Preparation

1. Cook Channa dal in a cooker with some water and salt for 3 whistles
2. Now once the cooker is cooled add toor dal, diced potatoes, onion, tomato, turmeric to it and cook it again for 2 more whistles.
3. In a vessel heat oil, add mustard seeds, hing, curry leaves, red chillies
4. once curry leaves are done add the contents of cooker, sambar powder, Jaggery, coconut, Salt and bring it to boil. Let it boil for 4-5 min

Server hot with Rice.

Banana - 1 Big ripe
Milk - 1 cup

How to prepare Masala Vada


Ingredients

Channa dal - 1 cup (soak 4 hours min)
Onion - 2 chopped finely
Garlic - 7-8
Green chillies - 15
Baby Dill - 1 bunch
Pudina - 15 leaves
Coriander - 3-4 tsp
Ginger - 1 tsp
Baking soda - 1/4 tsp
Salt - as per taste
Gram Flour - 1/2 cup
Rice Flour - 1/4 cup
Curry leaves - 2 strings

Preparation

1. Take 3-4 tbsp of channa dal in a seperate cup and grind the rest of the it.
2. Grind Green chillies and Ginger and mix it with channa dal.
3. Mix remaining ingredients well onion, garlic, baby dill chopped, pudina chopped, corianer chopped, curry leaves chopped, Baking soda, Salt, Gram Flour, Rice Flour
4. Heat oil in a vessel and fry the masala prepared by making flat balls of it.

How to prepare Mango Milk Shake



Ingredients

Mango - 1 Big ripe
Milk - 1 cup

How to prepare pappu (my style)



Ingredients

Dal - 1cup (you can take mixture of thoor dal, channa dal, moong dal or any 1 of them)
Tomato - 2 medium size
Onion - 1 small
Green Chillies - 5
Turmeric - 1/4 tsp
Chilli powder - 1/2 tsp
Salt - as per taste
Garlic - 4-5 pods
Any vegetable of your choice
Olive Oil - 1 tsp
mustard seeds - 1/4 tsp
Cumin seeds - 1/4 tsp
red chillies - 2
curry leaves - 5-6
Hing - pinch

Preparation

1. In a pressure cooker take dal, finely chopped tomatoes, chopped onion, green chillies, turmeric, chilli powder, salt, garlic, any one vegetable of your choice and cook it for 3 whistles
2. Allow the cooker to cool down naturally.
3. Mash the contents of cooker well with a spoon.

4. In another vessel heat oil, all mustard seeds, cumin seeds, hing, curry leaves, red chillies
5. Add the contents of cooker to it and cook for 3-4 min more.

Serve hot with rice :-)

How to prepare Masala Chitranna

Ingredients

Oil - 2 tsp
Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
Curry Leaves - 4-5
Hing - a pinch
Peanuts - 10-15 seeds
Channa dal - 1/2 tsp
Urad dal - 1/2 tsp
Onion - 1/2
Ginger-Garlic Paste - 3/4 tsp
Fenugreek seeds - 1/4 tsp
Cumin Seeds - 1/2 tsp
Green Chillies - 7
Turmeric - 1/4 tsp
Tamarind thick paste - 1/2 tsp
Salt - to taste
Cilantro for garnishing

Procedure

1. Dry Roast Cumin seeds (1/2 tsp), Fenugreek seeds (1/4 tsp) and Mustard seeds (1/4 tsp) individually and powder them
2. In a Pan add oil, when oil is hot add mustard seeds, hing
3. When mustard seeds start spluttering add curry leaves, Peanuts, Channa dal and Urad dal
4. When channa dal and urad dal are golden brown add Ginger-Garlic paste, Onion,Green Chillies, Turmeric
5. Once onion and chillies are done add Salt, Tamarind paste and powder prepared in step 1.
6. Let it cook for 2-3 more min
7. Garnish with coriander leaves

How to prepare Gobi Parata


Ingredients

Gobi Shredded - 1 cup
Green Chillies - 7
Onion - 1 small
Salt - to taste
Chat masala - 1/4 tsp
Garam masala - 1/2 tsp
Jeera/Cumin Powder - 1/2 tsp
Coriander leaves - 2 tbsp
Aata - 1 cup
Olive Oil
Water
Yogurt - 3tbsp
Red Chilli Powder - 1/5 tsp

Preparation



Prepare dough

1. Prepare aata dough by mixing aata, salt, water and a tsp of olive oil and let it rest for minimum 30 min by coverng it.


Prepare filling

1. In a bowl take shredded Gobi, to that add green chilli paste, onion finely chopped, salt, chat masala, garam masala powder, Jeera powder and mix well
2. Take the mixture in a vessel and cook it well untill all the moisture is evaporated from it and gobi is cooked. Add chopped coriander leaves and mix well
3. Take the cooked mixture in a plate and let it cook down to room temperature.
4. Make balls of cooled mixture

Prepare parata

1. Take aata dough and rool it to approximately 4-5 inch width
2. Place the filling ball in middle and close all the edges and seal it.
3. Roll the parata well with help of enough amount of dry aata
4. Cook it on tawa by sprinkling olive oil on both sides




Prepare Yogurt dressing

1. Take 2-3 tbsp of thick yogurt in a plate
2. Add some salt and mix well
3. Sprinkle some chat masala and red chilli powder
4. Garnish with cilantro






Server hot along with yogurt and pickle :-)

How to prepare Tomato Gojju

Ingredients

Olive oil - 1 tbsp
Mustard seeds - 1/4 tsp
Hing - pinch
Curry leaves - 5-6
Green chillies - 3
Channa dal - 1/2 tsp
Urad dal - 1/2 tsp
Onion - 1 small finely chopped
Tomato - 2-3 finely chopped
Sambar Powder - 1 or 1 1/2 tsp
Turmeric - 1/4 tsp
Salt
Water
Cilantro for garnishing

Preparation

1. In a vessel heat oil, add mustard seeds, hing, curry leaves
2. Add channa dal, urad dal and cook until golden brown
3. Add onion, green chillies, turmeric and cook untill it is translucent
4. Add tomatoes and cook well
5. Once tomatoes are tender add sambar powder, little water, salt and cook for 3-4 min
6. Garnish with corinader leaves

Serve hot with chapati or rice :-)


How to prepare peanut coconut chutney - Karnataka Style


Ingredients

Peanuts - 1/5 cup roasted
Fresh grated coconut - 1/4 cup
Green chillies - 8 roasted
Salt - to taste
Tamarind - marble size
Curry leaves - 3 leaves
Cilantro - hand full
Garlic - 1-2 pods optional

Preparation

1. Dry Roast Peanuts on medium flame untill nice aroma comes out
2. Roast green chillies on same pan
3. Remove the skin of roasted peanuts
4. In a mixer take peanuts, roasted green chillies, salt, grated coconut, tamarind, garlic (optional), curry leaves and grind it
5. Once the chutney is 3/4 grinded add cilantro to it and grind it again

Serve with any indian bread or Rice or Idli:-)

How to prepare Jeera Rice from left over rice


Ingredients

Leftover Rice
Jeera/Cumin seeds - 2 tbsp
Green chillies - 8
Salt
Ghee/Butter - 2 tbsp
Curry leaves - 8-9
Cilantro for garnishing
Garam masala Powder - 1/2 tsp

Preparation

1. Heat Butter or ghee in a vessel, add cumin seeds, curry leaves and green chillies
2. Add Salt, garam masala and rice, mix well and cook for 3-4 min
3. Add some more ghee if you do not want it to be dry
4. Garnish with cilantro

How to prepare Tomato Rasam

Ingredients

Olive oil - 2 tbsp
Mustard seeds - 1/4 tsp
Hing - a Pinch
Dry Red chillies - 2
Curry leaves - 5-6
Toor dal - 1/4 cup
Tomato chopped - 2
Onion chopped - 1/2 (Optional)
Green Chillies - 3
Turmeric - 1/4 tsp
Fresh grated coconut - 2 tbsp
Jaggery - 1/2 tsp
Rasam Powder - 1 1/2 tsp
Salt
Water
Cilantro for garnishing

Preparation

1. In a cooker add Toor dal, tomato, onion, green chillies, coconut, turmeric and water and cook for 3-4 whistles
2. In a vessel heat oil, add mustard seeds, hing, curry leaves, red chillies.
3. Now add the contents of cooker, Rasam Powder, Salt and Jaggery and let it boil for 5 min
4. Garnish with coriander leaves

Serve hot with rice.



How to prepare upma / uppittu



Ingredients

Rava - 1 1/2 cup
Olive oil - 5-6 tbsp
Mustard seeds - 1/4 tsp
Hing - a Pinch
Curry leaves - 5-6 leaves
Channa dal - 1/2 tsp
Urad dal - 1/2 tsp
Onion - 1 medium cut lengh-wise
Green Chillies - 7 (you can adjust as per your taste)
Green Beans - finely chopped
Carrot - Finely chopped
Water - 3 cups
Salt - As per taste
Coriander leaves for garnishing

Preparation

1. Roast rava until it turns slight golden brown and nice aroma starts coming out (Make sure not to burn it) and keep it aside
2. In another vessel Heat 3-4 tbsp of Oil,
3. Add 1/4 tsp mustard seeds, a pinch of hing, 5-6 curry leaves
4. Add 1/2 tsp each channa dal and urad dal, fry until they are golden brown
5. Add onions and green chillies, cook untill onions turn translucent
6. Add finely chopped green beans and carrot, fry for 2 min
7. Add 3 cups of water and let it boil untill vegetables are cooked with lid closed
8. Add Salt and let it cook for 1 more min
9. Now add rava slowly by stirring it, so that it doesnot form any lumps
10. Add another 2-3 tbsp of oil on top
11. Cover and cook it on medium low flame for 7-8 min more, stir every 3 min
12. Garnish with Coriander leaves

Server hot with some chutney :-)



How to prepare Puliyogare powder at home

Ingredients

Coriander seeds - 1 cup
Urad dal - 1/2 cup
Channa dal - 1/2 cup
Copra/Dry coconut - 1/2
Dried red chillies - as per taste
Hing - 1/2 tsp
Cumin seeds - 2 tsp
Black Pepper seeds - 2 tsp
Sesame seeds - 1/2 cup
Mustard seeds - 2 tsp
Fenugreek seeds - 2 tsp
Cinnamon - 2 small sticks
Cloves - 1 tsp

Procedure

1. Dry Roast all ingredients seperately (without oil)
2. Let them cool down and come to room temparature normally
3. Grind all the ingredients seperately. Make a coarse granular powder.
4. Once all the ingredients are grinded. In a big Vessel Mix all the the ingredients well. You can even a grinder to do this.
5. You can mix some Hot oil to the powder to preserve for a bit longer time.

Enjoy making Puliyogre powder at home :-)




How to prepare Tandoori Fish Fry

Ingredients

Fish - 1 lb
Lemon - 3 tsp
Rice floor - 1 tsp
Coriander cumin powder - 2
Red chilli powder - 2-3
Ginger Garlic paste -2
Hing -2 pinch
Turmeric - 1/4
Salt
Oil - 2 tsp

Procedure

1. Wash Fish with lemon and Salt so that the smell is gone
2. Now Pat dry Fish with kitchen Towel
3. Prepare Marinate masala by including all the above ingredients (medium thick).
      Note: Do not add water add lemon huice if you need thinner paste
4. Apply masala on both the sides of fish and let it sit in refrigerator for minimum 30 min
5. Now you can cook your Fish in either Oven or on a pan


Server hot with a slice of lemon

How to prepare mulangi herekayi Huli Saaru

Ingredients

Oil - 1 tsp
mustard seeds - 1/4 tsp
hing - a pinch
Red Chillies - 2
Curry Leaves - 4-5
Onion chopped - 1 small
Tomato chopped - 1 small
Toor dal - 1/3 cup
Raddish (mulangi)- 1 medium
Ridge Gourd (Ridge Gourd) - 1/2 medium
Sambar Powder - 2 1/2 tsp
Salt - to taste
Jaggery powder - 1/2 tsp
cilantro for garnishing

You can choose any other vegetable of your choice.


Procedure

1. In a cooker, add toor dal, raddish, Ridge Gourd, onion and tomato
2. Let them cook for 3 whistles untill toor dal are cooked well (few toor dal may take a bit longer compared to others)
3. In a vessel heat oil, add mustard seeds, hing, curry leaves, red chillies
4. Add cooked vegetables, sambar powder, Jaggery, Salt and let it cook for 10 min
5. Garnish with Cilantro

Server Hot with Ragi Mudde or Rice

How to prepare Chitranna/Lemon Rice



Ingredients

Oil - 2 tsp
Mustard seeds - 1/4 tsp
Curry Leaves - 4-5
Hing - a pinch
Peanuts - 10-15 seeds
Channa dal - 1/2 tsp
Urad dal - 1/2 tsp
Onion - 1/2 (Optional)
Green Chillies - 7
Turmeric - 1/4 tsp
Lemon Juice - 1 tsp
Salt - to taste
Grated coconut - 1tbsp
Cilantro for garnishing

Procedure

1. In a Pan add oil, when oil is hot add mustard seeds, hing
2. When mustard seeds start spluttering add curry leaves, Peanuts, Channa dal and Urad dal
3. When channa dal and urad dal are golden brown add onion (Optional), Green Chillies, Turmeric
4. Once onion and chillies are done add Salt, grated coconut and Lemon Juice
5. Garnish with coriander leaves

How to prepare Rice



Ingredients

Rice - 1 cup
Water - 2 cup
Salt - 1/2 tsp

Preparation

1. Take a cup of Rice in a vessel.
2. Wash Rice in water for 2-3 times.
3. Add 2 cups of water to it.
4. Add 1/2 tsp of salt
5. Cook until it is cooked completely

Server hot with curry or sambar :-)

How to prepare Chicken Dry



Ingredients

Chicken - 1 lb
Soya Sauce - 1/2 tsp
Tomato Ketchup - 1 tsp
Chilli Powder - 1 tsp
Tumeric Powder - 1/4 tsp
Ginger Garlic paste - 1 tsp
Cinnamon + Cloves (Lavang/Laung) Powder - 1/4 tsp
Pepper Powder - 1/4 tsp
Food color - 2 pinch
Oil - 2 tsp
Coriander or Cilantro Chopped - 2 tbsp
Salt to taste

Preparation

1. Put a non-stick pan or khadhai on medium heat. Add chicken and stir for 2 minutes.
2. Reduce the heat a little and add soya sauce, tomato sauce, chilli powder, turmeric, ginger garlic paste and mix well.
3. After a couple of minutes add salt, cinnamon and cloves powder and food color. Mix well, close the lid and leave it to cook for 15 minutes on low heat.
4. Add coriander leaves and oil. Mix well and wait for 2 minutes.
5. At this stage there will be some liquid from the chicken in the pan. You need to now allow the chicken to cook in its own liquid until all the liquid evaporates.
6. Add pepper powder, mix well. Wait for another minute and the dish is done.

You can garnish it with fried curry leaves, cashews and green chillies.


How to Prepare Gobi Manchurian Dry




Ingredients (For coating)

4 cup Cauliflower (cut into florets )
2 tsp Ginger garlic (minced)
3 tbsp Maida
2 tsp Corn flour
1 tsp Red chilli powder
¼ tsp White pepper powder
½ tsp Salt
2 pinch Orange red food colour
1 tsp Soy sauce
½ tsp Vinegar
1 pinch Ajinomoto (optional)

Ingredients (For Tosing) 

1 no Red onion (cut into big dices)
1 nos Green bell pepper/ capsicum (cut into big dices)
1 no Green chilli (minced)
1 tsp Ginger garlic (minced)
¼ cup Green spring onions (finely chopped)
1 tsp Dark soy sauce
4 tsp Tomato ketchup
¼ tsp Salt (or to taste)
3 tsp Oil (for sauteing)
2 cup Oil (for deep frying)
2 stks Coriander leaves (for garnishing)
2 tsp chilli garlic sauce

Preparation:

1. Wash the cauliflower florets and cook them in salt water for few minutes.
2. Drain the water completely and pat dry with a kitchen towel. --- Do not Skip this step
3. Mix maida, corn flour, salt, red chilli powder, white pepper powder, ginger garlic, vinegar, soy sauce, food colour and ajinomoto. Make a fine paste.
4. Add cauliflower and toss in to coat it with the paste.

Frying

1. Heat 2 cups of oil and deep fry the cauliflower florets and drain the excess oil with a paper towel. Keep this aside.

Tosing

1. Now heat 3 tsp of oil in a wide kadai or wok on high flame, saute red onions, green peppers, ginger garlic, green chilli for 4 to 5 minutes.
2. Once they turn slightly tender, add the fried cauliflower along with soy sauce, tomato ketchup, chilli garlic sauce and salt.
3. Toss everything for few minutes until the masala becomes dry. Add green onions while sauteing.
4. Garnish with coriander leaves.


How to Prepare Pepper Rasam



Ingredients:

oil = 2-3 spoons
Jeera = 1/4 tsp
curry leaves = 1 spring
garlic = 3 pods
chillies = 2
pepper powder = 1/2 - 3/4 tsp
tamrind juice = 1 lemon size
rasam powder = 1/4 tsp
hing = a pinch
coriander leaves = 1/2 tsp
turmeric powder = 1/4 tsp
jaggery = 1/2 tsp crushed
water = 1 1/2 cup
salt = to taste

Preparation:

1. Take oil in a pan add hing, curry leaves, jeera, garlic, chillies, pepper powder, tamrind juice, turmeric powder, jaggery.
2. Boil water in a vessel add the above mixture, rasam powder and salt.
3. Add coriander leaves.

Serve Hot with Rice


How to prepare South Indian Style Tea

Ingredients:Tea Powder - 3/4 tsp
Milk - 1 cup
Sugar - 1 tsp
Water - 2-3 tsp

Procedure:

1. Take a cup of milk in Tea pot.
2. Add 2-3 tsp of water
3. Add a teaspoon of sugar and a 3/4 teaspoon of tea powder to milk.
4. Let it boil for 2-3 minutes
5. Strain your tea with help of tea strainer

Optional: You can add either cardamom outer leaves or Ginger to add some flavor to your tea.

How to prepare South Indian Style Coffee



Ingredients:

Coffee Powder - 1/2 tsp
Milk - 1 cup
Sugar - 1 tsp



Procedure:

1. Take a cup of milk in coffee pot.
2. Add a teaspoon of sugar and a half a teaspoon of coffee powder to milk.
3. Bring it to boil
